It was close to the train station and they had several small kebab/pizza shops near by.

The location is great
The staff are friendly but unfortunately the can not speak English. This hotel is near to the main street so during the night so many noise may disturb you.

Very close to the Gare, so if you are using trains to get there, at least you don't have to walk too far. It's also not too far from the old town. So, basically, you're paying for location. And not much else.
I'll start by saying that we're from Florida, so we're no strangers to warm, muggy weather. That said, I've never stayed in a hotel as uncomfortable as this, including youth hostels with 18 beds in one room. In the two nights that we were there I got maybe 5 hours of sleep. After walking up to the Bastille and Mont Jolle. I was plenty tired and even with the window shutters and windows closed I could hear conversations on the street in my 3rd floor room, not to mention every car that passed. Of course closing the windows kept all the warm, humid air in the room. I'm used to no a/c by now in Europe, but no fan?! Inexplicable in a city known to have almost no wind due to the surrounding mountains. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Super location, situated between bus/train terminal and city center shopping and museums; tram stop right in front; staff helpfully supplied me with a power converter to use (foreigner-friendly); excellent rates.
unlit hallway on my floor

The staff on reception were always very friendly and it's a very good location, close to the station and the city centre and right by a tram stop. Overall it was very reasonable for the price and the beds were very comfortable.
We never had breakfast so don't know what it was like but we felt it was a bot expensive and we had very nice breakfasts elsewhere for cheaper
